Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation is offering an informational webinar for presenting organizations interested in applying to its Southern Exposure: Performing Arts of Latin America program. Southern Exposure will bring exemplary contemporary and traditional dance, music and theater artists from Latin America to communities throughout the United States. The program will support tours developed collaboratively by presenter consortia that include public performances and opportunities for significant engagement with the visiting artists. The webinar will cover the program's goals and objectives, eligibility criteria, online application, and review process, as well as provide an opportunity to answer your questions.

Humanities Montana is seeking nominations for Humanities Heroes, to be recognized throughout 2012 as the nonprofit organization celebrates its 40th anniversary.
Humanities Heroes are individuals who have excelled in their support of the humanities in Montana. Support can take the form of presenting engaging programs, hosting humanities events, composing important books and articles about humanities topics, donating funds to sustain humanities work, and more. Humanities Montana especially encourages nominations for youth and young adults. (Note: Recipients of the Governor's Humanities Award are not eligible for this recognition.)
To nominate an individual, submit a letter summarizing the individual's contributions to info@humanitiesmontana.org or 311 Brantly, Missoula, MT, 59812. Please include contact information for the nominated individual, since Humanities Montana will contact each nominee to be sure s/he would appreciate this recognition. The deadline for nominations is December 16, 2011.
Apply for Fellowship, Book Subvention, Major Grants
The next deadline for major, fellowship, and book subvention grants is December 20. Humanities Montana is especially interested in proposals focused on the 40th anniversary of the Montana Constitution and the 150th anniversary of Montana Territory. Support for International Museum Partnerships
American Association of Museums: Museums and Community Collaborations Abroad
Museums and Community Collaborations Abroad (MCCA), a grant program of the American Association of Museums, is designed to strengthen international connections through innovative exchanges between museums in the U.S. and overseas. The program empowers museums to connect people in the U.S. with people abroad while at the same time strengthening ties between the museums and their communities. The following themes, under the rubric of "The Future of Museums is Now", have been selected for the 2012 cycle: New Audiences and Changing Demographics, Investment in Green Practices, Connecting in the Age of Information, Developing Amateur Experts, and Innovations in Community Development. Grants ranging from $50,000 to $100,000 are available. Applying U.S. museums must identify a non-U.S. partner by either selecting from the Embassy Nominees or by locating a suitable match on their own. The deadline for submitting Statements of Intent to Propose is January 9, 2012; final applications are due April 16, 2012. Visit the American Association of Museums website for program details.

Children's Theatre Foundation of America: Aurand Harris Children's Theatre Grants Program
The Children's Theatre Foundation of America’s grantmaking focus is on theatre for children and youth, the utilization of drama/theatre in education for children grades K-12, and development opportunities for theatre artists working in the area of children’s theatre in the United States. The Foundation’s Aurand Harris Children's Theatre Grants Program supports small and mid-sized nonprofit theatres for premieres of promising new plays for children, the establishment of special production projects for children's theatre, and performance expenses of U.S. children's theatres to participate in national or international festivals. Grants generally range from $1,000 to $3,000. The deadline for Request to Submit applications is January 13, 2012. Visit the Foundation’s website to download the application guidelines.

The President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts, the National Endowment for the Arts, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Institute of Museum and Library Services, is pleased to invite applications for the 2012 National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Awards.
The twelve award-winning programs this year will receive $10,000 and an invitation to accept their award from the President’s Committee’s Honorary Chairman, First Lady Michelle Obama at a ceremony at the White House. In addition, winners will receive an award plaque, the opportunity to attend the Annual Awardee Conference in Washington, DC in the summer of 2012, and will be featured on the National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award website.
After-school and out-of-school time arts and humanities programs sponsored by museums, libraries, performing arts organizations, educational institutions (e.g., preschools; elementary, middle, and high schools; universities; and colleges), arts centers, community service organizations, businesses, and eligible government entities are encouraged to consider submitting an application. Programs applying for the award must meet all of the National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Awards Eligibility Criteria.
Completed applications will only be accepted via the online process. No hard copy materials will be accepted. The deadline for application submissions is Tuesday, January 31, 2012, 5:00 p.m. EST.
